JETENERGY European - Top Ten Energiespartricks
PDF Print E-mail

The temperatures fall, the energy expenses rise. This year becomes an extremely expensive winter. Small tricks to the energy saving bring in sum a lot: Investigations have shown that the same households can lie around up to 100% apart. Who does not look at the energy saving, needs twice as much energy.

  1. Curtains take a short-cut: Mostly the heater stands under the window. If the curtains about the heater reach, one heats the air behind it, however, the warmth does not come to the space. This means more power demand to 20% to 30%.
  2. Tin-foil between heater and wall: If heaters are installed in niches, the walls are thinner here and warm-permeable. A cost-efficient solution: A tin-foil between heater and wall causes that the warmth is reflected and is won for the space.
  3. Shades let down: Who has shades, this should let down during the night absolutely. They reduce losses by the windows.
  4. Not constantly windows tip: The tilted window is a pure energy waste with little airing effect.
  5. The right ambient temperature is individual: 22 degrees are a good value. Every degree means more 5% to 6% more heating expenses. Hence, the night sinking also brings a lot. If nobody is at home, the temperature should be also lowered during the day about at least 2 degrees.
  6. To winds: Energy saving by non-winds is wrong. The quick aerial exchange is important, big windows a few minutes leave open that the air is fast traded. Thus the space does not cool down.
  7. Energy savings lamps: In a German household there are on an average 30 points of light. If of it approx. 1/3 are substituted - 10 points of light - with energy savings lamps, these one whole savings of nearly 600 euro per year mean.
  8. showering instead of Baden: A warm shower is substantially more efficient. A proper bath uses from three to four spots more energy.
  9. Cooking and baking: The baking pipe preheat only if it requires the recipe expressly. Hot air-baking pipes must not be preheated at all. On the cooking disks the postwarmth should be used. From 10 to 15 minutes before end of the done time switch off.
  10. Cool: The poetry lips with the doors should be cleaned regularly and be checked for tearing. A leaking or badly concluding door causes a multiple in energy consumption. As importantly: the airing grids clean and keep, this is also valid for the cooling coils at the back.
